Intramedullary schwannoma of cervicomedullary region

Intramedullary schwannomas of cervicomedullary region are extremely rare. We present a case of cervicomedullary region (from medulla to T2 level) schwannoma. Half of the tumor (from medulla to C4 level) is in the intramedullary region and the rest part (from C5 to T2 level) is in the intradural extramedullary space. Near-total resection of the tumor was achieved. The patient's muscle power gradually improved after surgery.
