Dr.Carolina Benjamin is a neurosurgeon at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine who specializes in cranial neurosurgery, with a particular interest skull base surgery. She treats all aspects of skull base pathology (including meningiomas, pituitary tumors, schwannomas, acoustic neuromas, paragangliomas, craniopharyngiomas, etc) using both open approaches and the endoscopic endonasal approaches. She also treats all areas of neuro-oncology, including primary brain tumors as well as brain metastases and has an active radiosurgery practice. She incorporates the most novel techniques such as minimally invasive surgery, expanded endonasal approaches, awake craniotomies, fluorescence guided surgery, advanced brain mapping, augmented reality, and the use of advanced neuro-imaging, allowing a safer and more complete surgery to be achieved.
