Dr. Shukla’s clinical and surgical practice comprises mainly of endoscopic neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and vascular neurosurgery. His area of research interest is traumatic brain injury (TBI). He has been investigator for a number of national and multinational research projects, most of them related to TBI. He has been speaker for more than 100 occasions for various national and international conferences. He is reviewer and on editorial board of a few peer-reviewed journals in neurosurgery. He has more than 250 publications. He is also holding the post of secretary of Neurotrauma Society of India and one of the developers of guidelines for management of TBI in India.
